Jute Garden Twine, 300 ft

Three-ply jute twine in its natural brown, 300 feet on a cardboard centre-pull spool that feeds from the middle so it does not tangle. It is about 2mm thick, holds a knot, and breaks at around 40 pounds, which is enough for tomatoes, beans and tying in climbers.

Jute is a plant fibre and rots down in a season or two, so you can cut it off with the stems and put the lot on the compost. Keep the spool dry between uses; damp jute goes weak.
