Description
A knee-length apron in 10 ounce waxed cotton in a dark brown, with cross-back leather straps that take the weight off the neck. Two hip pockets 8 inches deep hold a trowel and pruners; a chest pocket holds a pencil and labels. A leather loop on the right hip takes a hand fork or twine. Length 32 inches from bib to hem, 26 inches wide at the hip, with straps adjustable from 5 feet to 6 feet 4 inches.
The cloth is stiff at first and softens with wear. Brush off dry mud; spot clean with cold water and no soap. Re-wax the pocket areas when they start to look dry.
